Frequently asked questions
Where do I start if I have never opened a terminal?+
With Vibe Coding 101, then Terminal Basics — both open at level 0 and assume you have never seen a terminal. Lessons are short, and most of them end with practice in the built-in simulator.
I am afraid of breaking my computer with a command.+
The terminal in the course and in the sandbox is simulated: commands run for pretend, in a safe environment. You cannot break a real machine from here — so experiment freely.
I do not understand what a command does.+
Open Explain a command and it will break the line down piece by piece. The full list with examples lives in the command cheat sheet, and man <command> works right in the terminal.
Is it bad if I get a task wrong?+
No. Mistakes are part of learning. Hints and solutions unlock with no penalty, and the questions you missed go into Review your mistakes for another pass.
Is my progress saved?+
Yes, right in the browser — XP, streak and completed lessons persist between visits on this device. You can download a backup and restore it from settings.
Can I learn on my phone?+
Yes. The course works in mobile browsers, and the terminal simulator adapts to a small screen.
