Privacy

zero2vibecode has no user database. Your progress through the course lives in your browser and is never uploaded. That is not a policy decision layered on top of the product — it is how the product is built, and most of this page is a consequence of it.

Your progress stays in your browser

Lessons completed, XP, streak, badges, notes, quiz answers and terminal history are stored in your browser's local storage. They never reach a server. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently, and nobody — including us — can restore them. You can export a backup file from settings and import it on another device; that file moves only if you move it.

This also means progress does not sync between devices or browsers. There is nowhere for it to sync to.

Signing in

Signing in with Google or GitHub is optional and the course is fully usable without it. When you do sign in, we receive your name, avatar and the account id from that provider, and keep them in an encrypted session cookie in your browser. We do not store them on a server, because there is no server-side storage to put them in. We never receive your password, and we do not ask either provider for access to your email, repositories, contacts or anything beyond basic profile information.

Sign out and the cookie is gone. There is no account to delete, because there is no account record anywhere.

The AI helpers send text to a model provider

Three optional features call a language model through OpenRouter, and only when you press the button:

  • Ask for a study plan — sends the two answers you pick on /plan — your experience level and your goal.
  • Explain this error — sends the error text from the lesson terminal.
  • I'm stuck — sends the lesson's goal and your last few terminal commands.

Nothing is sent in the background and nothing is sent while you type. These requests carry no identity: not your name, not your account, not a user id. The model provider processes the text under its own terms. If you would rather no text left the page at all, do not use these three buttons — everything else in the course works without them.

Analytics without cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually read. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you across sites, which is why this site has no cookie banner. We see aggregate numbers — pages, referrers, countries — never individuals.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, no ad networks, no tracking pixels.
  • No selling or sharing of data. There is no data to sell.
  • No email list and no newsletter. We never ask for your address and have no way to reach you.
  • No profiling, no automated decisions about you.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Like any host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to serve pages and may keep short-lived operational logs for security and abuse prevention.

Children

The course is written for adults learning to build software. It is not directed at children, and it collects nothing that would identify one.

Changes, and how to check

If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes with it. Every statement here is verifiable in the source code rather than taken on trust — that is the point of keeping the product this simple. Questions go to hello@zero2vibecode.com — or any of the contacts on the about page.
