Prompt
What you ask the model. The more specific the prompt, the more useful the answer.
Not the same as a command
A command has one meaning. A prompt is read for intent, so the same request can produce different work twice — which is why naming files, constraints and the finish line beats phrasing it more politely.
Where it bites
Adding more words is not adding more context. A long undifferentiated dump buries the one detail that mattered; naming three files beats pasting thirty.
