Frequently asked questions
Is "Gemini CLI from Zero" free?
Yes, the whole course is free — no ads, no paywall, no hidden charges. You can support the project if you want to, but it changes nothing about your access to the lessons.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
Not for the course: every lesson runs in a terminal simulator in your browser, and your progress is saved in this browser. Using the real Gemini CLI on your own projects is a separate step — you install it on your computer and sign in with a Google account, a Gemini API key or Vertex AI. Its README says that for unpaid-tier and Google One users it was replaced by Antigravity CLI on June 18, 2026, so check which tool your account is meant to use first. The first lesson of Level 0 walks through it.
Who is this course for?
After Terminal Basics. It picks up where Terminal Basics leaves off, so start there if you are new to it.
How many lessons is it, and how long will it take?
4 lessons. Go at your own pace — one short lesson a day, or several in a sitting.
Is there a certificate?
Yes. Finish every lesson and you unlock a personalized certificate you can share.
